| Mamalón Tequila was just a dream over 15 years ago. Then Angel Urcullu decided to make his dream real. Angel’s dream was to create the absolute smoothest tequila from the best ingredients available anywhere in Mexico.
Angel found one of the oldest and most successful tequila factories in Mexico to help him create Mamalón his dream, “Ultra Smooooth” tequila. After 3 years of testing various blends, together they came upon the perfect combination of ingredients for Mamalón. As it turns out, one of the secrets in the “Ultra Smooooth” flavor of Mamalón was distilling it 3 times. Triple distillation provided Mamalón an extremely robust Agave flavor, with just the right amount of warm mouth feel, as it passes over the tongue and down the throat. Mamalón begins with carefully selecting and harvesting fully mature Blue Agave plants. All of which have met our exacting requirements for water and sugar content. |
In order to produce the smooth, robust agave flavor, Mamalón is made using traditional methods. The rich agave pinas are slow-cooked in stone ovens. After the perfect cooking time, we extract the sweet nectar from only the core and hearts of the agaves.
The fermentation process is 100% natural ensuring the tequila is influenced by the unique outside ensemble of the agave, fruit trees, and other plants that surround the hacienda. Mamalón Tequila is triple distilled, resulting in a tequila that is ultra pure, is uniquely full of agave flavor, and “Ultra Smooooth.”
